It's not the best movie ever but it's definitely worth sitting through...I don't see why critics are so shallow with sports movies...this one has a lot of lessons. Maybe you like watching gangsters going around and people killing each other because it may make a better movie...but at least this movie tries to show criminals can change with the proper mentoring.

that's true, that's exactly what I got out of the movie,, a life lesson well learned, a touching human interest story.

Great lessons and very touching.
Very re-watchable and strong performances by Mr. Rock and others. Also one of the better guy-cry sports movies. Young dudes find inspiration and dignity through forgiveness, discipline and hard work. Yeah.
