One of the samurai weapons

in show 8 i think he goes to a room filled with old samurai weapons and one of the wepaons i believe which was called "soon/sun tets" not sure if spelling is right, they were like rings disguised as metal poles you hide behind your hands, anyone know where their are any pictures of these or information about them are? i cant find anything
