Had so much potential, but......

After viewing 'The Pearl Diver' I realized that the actual story was genuinely intriguing. This came as a surprise considering I was convinced that I had just sat through the most mediocre of experiences. The acting on all counts is awful. The lines are recited blandly, blocking is painfully obvious, and there is no sign of dimension to any of the characters. If it was based on a novel, I'm sure the novel was engrossing, but I honestly cannot recommend the movie to anyone.
