Does anybody know any similar movies to Control or Shooting Livien. Mainly films with a similar mood or atmosphere and with musical subject matter. Also, with a troubled main character with suicide and/or death of that character.

You will want to watch "Sid & Nancy". It's about Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols.

Oliver Stone´s 'The Doors' is similiar to Control. It´s a bit more hard to watch with a lot of ultra-psychedelic scenes and acid-trips.

"Ladies and Gentlemen: The Fabulous Stains" and the recent film about the band it's based on, "The Runaways." No deaths or suicides in either, though. Sorry or disappoint. ;-)
