Probably the most depressing movie I've ever seen

2nd only to Requiem for a Dream. Just felt like there were no truly happy moments for Ian Curtis in his life as portrayed in the film. Good movie, but terribly depressing.

I'm with you that Curtis not had many things he enjoyed in his life (there were enough happy moments - he just didn't enjoy them himself), but calling it 'the most depressing movie ever' is an overstatement of epic proportions.
