movie mistake?

Why do the gangsters rolling up on the convenient store go in there wearing different colors (red AND blue)? Wouldn't this have alerted anybody that they weren't actually affiliated with a gang. Or seemed confusing to witnesses (ludlow). Or is this actually a tactic gang members use in robberies to avoid getting caught or deflect blame on rivals. This would have seemed preposterous to me. I'm sure people don't ride around like that with different colors, only the same. What if an actual affiliate or associate had seen them wearing opposite colors. Or am I just overanalyzing here??

And, the coroner only found 18 bullets in washington. Guess those automatic rounds just went right through him.

Who says they were in a gang.... so ur assuming that they are black and the location is in L.A. they are gangmembers, typical stereotype.....

reply

come on... the movie portrays them as the typical gangbanger image. bold, wearing sunglasses and rags covering their mouths.
we are supposed to see them as gangmembers. its not just because they are black and in LA. they can be in louisville kentucky or orlando for all i care. they do look like gangmembers

reply

yes the movie portrays them as gangsters but not everyone who wears that type of clothing belongs to a gang.... besides if u were going to do something like that would you wear nothing hiding your face?

reply

@Danicavt: perhaps you're right...

"not everyone who wears that type of clothing belongs to a gang..."

but they sure as hell want to look like they do dont they??

reply

that is an astute observation.
the 2 gunmen were actively attempting to appear to be gangbangers.
wearing opposing colors as they did (red and blue) should have raised some serious flags with keanu's character...

and making that choice really raises questions about how skilled these hitmen were.

this should be clearly listed as a goof, since it is inconsistent with the rest of the movies own mythology
