I just watched this movie...and having viewed a few of KR's movies, from a sheer acting perspective..it's gotta be his best work.

The persona, the way he handled himself, not only in the role he played, but the on-screen demeanor as well, was simply outstanding.

I know he didnt get a nomination like Denzel Washington in Training Day, but in my ever so humble opinion, he deserved one for this one.

From Devils Advocate, to Matrix, this has to be his best acting work.

I agree between this film & Devil's Advocate, his performance was really good. In here, he really held his own with Forest Whitaker, I agree, he really should've gotten an Oscar nom for this.

His best work, yeah prolly. But not quite oscar nom deserved. Drinking those little vodka samples was freakin awesome tho.

I agree. Keanu was amazing in this movie. People don't give him the credit he deserves and he's a solid actor. His performance in this movie was outstanding, intimaditing, and powerful.

I gotta say, he is a lot more intense on this then he was on Speed, on that and this, he played an LAPD.

Personally I think A Scanner Darkly was his best performance.

I think this is one of the many movies where Keanu has shown his acting skills and that he's more than just a pretty face. This movie and like MrFrankCastle said, A Scanner Darkly are probably some of his best performances.

Too true, I hate when people write off a good performance because of past films. Sandra Bullock pulled it off recently but I think Reeves is going to have to pull some damn good roles in the future to change his so called 'wooden acting' reputation.

Personally I liked Reeves in many of his films, but then I'm not a film snob.

Totally. To hell with what a bunch of moronic people say about Keanu's acting. As long as we enjoy his performances and his movies, that should be enough.

I really liked this film, but I'm pretty sure he killed his opportunity for an oscar nom in this film with the "don't leave me partner" scene. That has to be some of the worst acting ever recorded in my opinion.

I agree Keanu is excellent in Street Kings, but my favourite performance of his is still in The Gift.

Not sure he's better here than as Neo in "The Matrix" but agree he's excellent in this film, and it ranks as one of (if not THE best) performances SO FAR. He's still in his prime, and will hopefully try his hand at other things, like a good comedy, thriller, even a character piece.....whatever. I'm just glad he's acting in cool movies. I hope he does more cyberpunk (I wish he'd do "Snow Crash", although he might be too old for that now... effin Hollywood///argh
