A Nosh to Forget (spoilers)

Gosh this was bad. Lifetime had you pepped up for a dud of a reunion. 97 percent of it was clips from the show, and Daniel Davis (Niles) was not there, oh but they thought they could make up for it with some guy from the Partridge family. Very unfunny. It was just so entirely boring and not what I was expecting at all. It could have been WAY better, but we got cheated. I'm sorry I watched it. Probably gave it ratings or something.

I completely agree with you. Charles, Fran, and Nic looked like the only ones who kept themsleves up. All the others looked really tired. Niles was the glue in that group. Twenty minutes was enough for me. So Disappointed. :(

I totally agree with you!!! I am a BIG fan of "THE NANNY" and will remain, however, like you, I do feel cheated. The show could have been a lot more interesting and more realistic in many ways. I even missed going to church that night in order to see it. To say the least, the network really "hyped" up the reunion in order to get everyone to watch it..I guess for rating only. But nevertheless, it was truly disappointing, although it was nice to see everyone. I also, like you, didn't find Danny of the Partridge Family's intrusion on the show funny either. As a matter-of-fact, I found it rather "distasteful." Introducing him in the place of Mr. Davis was truly misleading and a BIG flop..for I, like many other fans of his, really wanted to see "Niles"..for he and Fran was the show!!! I truly hope that Ms. Fran would read our opinions and take heart that although we love her, the REUNION show was not her best!!!! Maybe next time it will be much better. At least, let's hope so.

I was looking for information on Daniel Davis and found this message board. I also agree, I am very disappointed that "Niles" was not on the reunion. I wonder why? I also think Danny from the Partridges was a bad idea, they could have just left him out, it made it worse. They really built up the reunion and my expectations and I was disappointed when it finally aired. I love the show, and watch the re-runs all the time, I just guess you can't recreate a good thing. The filming, the scenes, everything was very rushed, unfinished, just didn't give you a good glimpse of everyone. It was almost like they didn't want you to get too close to everyone. IF anyone knows why Daniel Davis was the only one not to appear, I would love to know why???

Fran got a call on her cell phone, saying that Daniel Davis couldn't find the way to Fran's house. But I knew before that he was doing a show on Broadway. So maybe the call was all "planned" lol. But Fran did a good job trying to make it work. She worked very hard. But it could've been better.

Personally, I think it was a waste of time. It didnt have anything of substance and I really HATE shows made up of clips. They're just a time filler. Who wants to see Fran Drescher ordering someone around, and talking on the phone?

I love 'The Nanny' but this subject is right, it was A Nosh To Forget!
