Why were the names of the two main characters the same as the actors' real names? Did I miss something? It is meant to be fiction isn't it?

shareActually Carlos Sorin's films characteristic is that he uses common people instead of actors, or sometimes just one or two middle-known actors. As his films are so intimate and tell simple stories, he prefers those amateur actors to keep their real names (I guess is less confusing at the end).
By the way, I'm from Argentina and I live close to where this film (and other Sorin's films) were shot.
