Well, he did try to grease it with a few unpersuasive assumptions. Unfortunately that just left it...greasy.

Well, recognizable stars didn't do much for the first movie...

classic Western story...Billy the Kid...Boll talks about wanting to make a Sergio Leone-style Western
Really, he wanted to do that? So what stopped him? And why try to sell it to an audience that wanted a BloodRayne style movie? And why Billy the Kid, that's already a tough act to follow, done with various success by directors without a disastrous track record.

something unique with its blend of vampires, the Wild West and a video game character
You know, a few unique video game Westerns have been made. Some even on the occult side. They have fans too, so couldn't you insult them for a few months of production and insult them more for a few hours of screentime?

Fans of the game franchise will be happy to see Rayne toting a gun
I know, we're such simple folk, all it takes to make us gleeful is guns.
