Brilliant Brilliant Soundtrack....

Just wanted to say how much I love the soundtrack - it's epic, difficult to pin down, claustrophobic yet paradoxically cavernous, and full of grace and beauty at the same time - perfect example is about 30 mins in after the first central 'event' of the film - it's almost like you can read his mind through the music. One of the most effective pieces of composition I've heard in a long time. Reminds me of Eno (circa Apollo) but bolder and more, in a way, tangible (although before anyone slates me I do know what that means, but it is almost like an impression of what 'the aura' would sound like - which is very probably what they were aiming at I suppose... :) )
Was anyone else struck by this excellent score?

reply

Absolutely. I could not get enough of the score. At the end of the movie, I wanted to flip to the Special Features portion of the DVD, but I simply could not bring myself to do that until all music had ended.
