Thomas/Donovan-Blumbe rg

As I always end up doing I will most probably post my thoughts throughout this episode.

It's just coming on and my first thoughts are that DeeAnn needs to act like an adult and stop flirting with the Thomas boys and that her daughter Jessica is stuck up and really thinks that she is better than Tracey. DeeAnn's laugh is also kind of aggravating.

Is it kind of weird to anybody else the way that the Thomas dad licks his lips so much? Just kind of creepy...

Oh well...Not too much to post. This episode was only an hour long and didn't go into too much at all. I still think that the daughter, Jessica was spoiled and has an air of superiority about her, but she did become a little more accepting of her "new mom" towards the end.

All in all, not a very exciting episode at all...

Yeah, it wasn't very exciting. I only wanted to watch it because I'm from Montana and I rarely see anyone from here on TV. haha. I think I'll stick to watching Wife Swap, though. I think it's way better. xD

Do you realize that episode was filmed four years ago? Reality TV is anything but reality. It is what the producers want you to believe not what actually happens. Is it so weird for someone to lick their lips if they're chapped, what's really weird is how TV can edit something to look like it's done repeatedly. What's really sad is that in fact "Kirk Thomas" died September 24, 2008 in an ATV rollover accident and FOX continues to air the show and that people actually refer to him as "creepy".. You see, I am his wife... At least we got to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary last summer and DeeAnn and her family did get out to see us in August. She never did "flirt" with my boys, who are now 23 and 21 and who have taken over the family business, not the lazy ones the show would have you believe. Yes our show was boring, because everyone got along, they made a five minute meltdown by an 11 year old last 15 minutes. Why did I do the show? for the 50 grand, what else? certainly not fame or glory, but really folks, don't believe what you see......I am glad now that I have a video tape of my husband that I can watch and listen to his voice and even watch him lick his lips.....I really don't even know why I'm replying, except for the fact that I can't believe people take the time to even write comments about shows such as this......

I want to express my condolences for the loss of your husband. I can't even imagine losing a spouse after 25 years. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you so much. It hasn't been easy... but who ever said life was going to be easy right. We are all doing the best we can. Tianna went back to college, she's a freshman now. The boys took over the business, had to leave school to do so. Since I "gave" them the business, I needed income, so I took a teaching job in AK, started first week of Feb. in a small fishing village. It's been healing working with young children. What angers me the most is that Kirk was to be here with me, enjoying his retirement and fishing for fun..... I turn 50 next month. I try to live each day to the fullest now and take nothing for granted. Always tell the ones you love, you love them every day and when a friend comes to mind, give them a call.
Take care and remember...... reality shows are nothing more than Hollywood's take on every day peoples lives , they want our lives to be all drama, even when they're not and when they're not, they'll make them that way.....to hook in more viewers..

You're teaching children in Alaska? I cannot see how you are making that work, since your home and business were in Montana.

Tracey, no offense, but you can't expect people not to comment on this show; that's exactly what this board is for. And you can't blame editing for how your family was portrayed on the show--the producers can only edit what they're given. And if your late husband happened to lick his lips a lot, they're probably going to find that little quirk of his humorous and keep it. Also, you can't watch the show and tell me that your sons were not flirting with the new wife. I just got done watching the episode, and it was plain as day. I'm sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose someone really close to you. Hopefully now, three years later, you've at least been able to heal more.
