season 4 ending

Hi i am new to the show, i hate that i only discovered a week ago, but i am from the UK and i had never heard of this amazing programme. i have become a huged fan and have just order the first two seasons, yeah.

i new the show was cancelled at the end of season 4 and i also know original they where planning on a 5th season [which would have been the last season]. My question is, do you know if it was always the plan for jude to go off to london and leave tommy, or was this the actually ending for season 4 and season 5 she comes back and her and tommy can get back together?

i am only asking because i love this couple and even though i like the ending to season four, i always hoped they could be together at the end. they had been through so much.

if anyone can tell me anything, i would be gratefull.

I'm pretty sure the plan was that in season 5 Jude and Tommy would get back together.

Season 4 was finished when they found out. They hadn't even begun writing for season 5, just a few plans (like Spied and Karma living in a trailer).

No wonder it had a terrible ending and made no sense. It was meant to be a cliffhanger because they thought they were coming back for a season 5.

Stupid networks. They only had to do 13 episodes. Whooo yippy. Nick is rich, they could have worked with a low budget. Arg. Or even made a freaking movie only a 1 hour and 30 minutes long that ties up loose ends.

Oh well. =(
