Is anyone else frustrated with Tommy and Jude's relationship?? lol. I wanted them to stay together in the end SO bad!
shareMe too! They had this sexual tension between them since the first season and when they finally can be together, she dumped him pretty much. I think Tommy was really crazy in love with Jude and I really wish they woulda stayed 2gether in the end.

I was so waiting for it to be "happily ever after" and finally have a great ending for all that tension that we were on pins and needles for year after year.
I just loved this show and wish it still was on. Too bad. I miss it.

The producers of the show have said in interviews that if they had known season 4 was going to be the last, they would have ended it very differently. Too bad we'll never know :(

I mean we were all dying to see it happen and end that way... like a happily ever after situation. Tommy was/is so yummy! I mean it is easy to see why anyone would be jonesin for him! hahahahaaa
shareI don't know what compelled me to watch this show. I think it was out of boredom. I just actually finished watching it last night.
I was kind of confused about Jude. The episode before the series finale kind of made me think she'd stay with Tommy, but ended up dumping him because she wanted to spread her wings and become wrapped up in the stardom of it all? She was so normal and just up and decided not to be? Left Tommy after she agreed to marry him?
It just confused me. I barely liked Jude because she had a different love interest every season. I get it though. She was a teen. But I couldn't help but think she was more of an adult? She just seemed really mature for her age on the show, so I thought she'd make better adult decisions. Instead she just went from having this huge crush on Tommy in the beginning to Jamie, then to Speedy, then to Jamie then to Tommy then to Jamie. It was so annoying that she made Jamie annoying. It's weird, because when Jamie isn't chasing Jude, I like him.
It just seemed that every time she was with someone other than Tommy (someone she really wanted to be with) she'd break their heart because she always chose Tommy. I would have liked it a lot better if she wasn't dating period, and only went for Tommy. But the show had to have it's angst. I just didn't really like that about her character. She was mean going out with these guys then dumping them anytime there was signs of Tommy wanting to be with her. That's why it was so confusing when she up and dumped him.
Any who, the ending was terrible. Wasn't expecting that. Who ever decided that ending was good for Jude's character was really wrong. It made her look like an *beep* compared to Tommy. Tommy actually had problems, and he obviously didn't like getting close to people. Jude was the only person who really got to know him, and she just dumped him because he wanted them to have a normal relationship, and she wanted stardom? Music is important to her, but he was willing to come along with her while she was making music. I just don't understand why she felt that she couldn't make great music and have her relationship with him too.
Okay, end of rant. I just felt like I wasted my time on watching it. I know it's canceled and all, but wish that they had a better ending. Maybe one that didn't have that built up between Tommy & Jude that would make Jude look less of an *beep* and more of an adult. =(
hey i just finished watching this show friday night.... the whole thing about Jude is so true, at one point I got a lil annoyed with her constant switching....but as you said, she was so mature that to bring her down to her own age for the viewers she had to make $h!t decisions somewhere!
With regards to the whole ending thing, I wish it ended a better way or that at least a follow up movie was created to tie up lose ends. Tommy would not have put up much fuss with her leaving to experience stardom by herself because:
1. he just wants her to be happy and if leaving made her happy then he'd suck it up
2. technically he did the same thing and he admitted that in season 2/3 that he left portia and angie behind for stardom.
I still think Jude could've handled the whole cutting it lose situation better

thanks for posting.. i do know what u mean about the Jude character.. there were times when i wish it all had been handled differently also.. but thats always how a person views things when they r on the outside... think back... did u handle all love situations great... i know i sure didnt. i regret alot. but its water under the bridge that i cant change...
the show was also about her growing up.. so for her to not make the best decisions is understandable.
i just wish wish wish that she had stayed with Tommy... who cares about being in stardom.. Tommy was always my fav character in the show... i was always like okkkkk.. time for more scenes with Tommy!!!!
I wish they wud make a movie ending it better. like how they get back together etc.. i think that their ending wasnt supposed to be the final ending.. i think they were guna make it come around.. becuz as u watched the show urself.. u cud see how the story always twisted alot.. to keep things suspenseful..
so im guna think that they get back together at some point.. for good.. hehehe.. i have to.. i loved the show. (and im an adult!)

I just started watching the show after I heard Alexz's version of Black Velvet in a lifetime movie. Now I am completely obsessed with her voice...I have never heard anything like it. She is truly gifted..not many artists can sing the way she can sing...I think what really hit it for me, is how different the IS songs are each season...to making something like her running with the devil music..and now voodoo. Each song is completely different from the last and she sings them all like a pro! Basically wrapping up this song rant...she has amazing talent. Anyway...so I started watching this show because I love her voice...finally finished watching season 4 today. I loved every episode except for the last. Don't get me wrong...it was awesome..the final song gives me goosebumps. But it felt rushed...and the tommy relationship felt like it was cut off so quick!
I honestly feel that if the producers had more time...Jude would definitely not say goodbye to Tommy the way she did in the episode...b/c basically they didnt say goodbye at all. Also we all know that signing a record deal and moving to London doesnt mean their relationship had to be over either...this is why we have airplanes..They didn't have to break up...it could have ended with a...I have to get my life in order...not ready for marriage..but still want to be with you ending. Instead they just ended all relationship ties for her.
I'm disappointed with the ending but I still love the show. Maybe just maybe one day they will decide to make a tv movie or something. If they can bring Alias back on the air...they can make a tv movie about Instant Star. Maybe whoever created the show hasn't thought about the idea of a tv movie...they do it all the time for shows...Degrassi and that Wizards of Waverly Place show...I don't think it would be that impossible.
