The Wikipedia article on Dolmen contains a small spoiler. It does not give away everything, but still more than I feel it should. I tried to put an alert into the article, but they removed it and told me that while they understood I was trying to be helpful, my alert nevertheless violated their rules as an encyclopedia.
Yes, but should such rules apply to a TV series that is likely to be rerun?
I think it's fine for Wikipedia to contain the ending b/c that's what the information is there for. A lot of people go onto Wiki for plot summaries and explanations so I think it's totally valid for spoilers to be included. However, they should put up a note to indicate that spoilers are ahead, maybe a collapsible section, just to give the reader an opportunity to stop reading if they don't want to know. I actually get irritated when Wiki doesn't give a full account of the plot, including the ending. After all, I made the effort to look it up deliberately so I fully expect the twists to be revealed.
