What is the story about I know about immigrates. but is there more to the story. what drew you to this novela. I would loved to read your insight of this story. because others are saying that isn't no good. but i would like to hear other opinion on the America.

Unfortunately they just list the titles in portuguese. :(

The novelas which are airing now:

6pm soap: Alma Gêmea (Soulmate)
7pm soap: A Lua Me Disse (I Heard From the Moon)
9pm soap: America

Dude, believe me when I tell you... "America" is one of the worst soap operas I've ever seen... In November this "thing" is over

The silly Sol in a Box scene, believe it or not it isn't silly, Gloria Perez got that from real life. A cuban woman came on a plane inside a box from Cuba escaping her country in search of freedom. If you didn't know the story, sure it might seen odd and dumb, but when you know that this was a true event, than you might see it in a different light.

Onto the novela, indeed, by Globo standards America is probably the worst, but if you compare it to other novelas like Inocente de Ti, Sonhar no Cuesta Nada, Pasion de Gavilanes, El Alma Herida, Prisionera, Amarte Asi, or Rebecca, America is a masterpiece in comparison.

I did see some of the episodes and didn't have a problem with it, I've seen much worse novelas.

However, my fave character was Junior.
