Zzyzx Road is real

Interesting bit of trivia: Zzyzx Road is real. The actual road itself, that is, not the movie.

The photograph currently shown on the IMDB entry is the exit sign from Interstate 15. It about 160-ish miles NE from Los Angeles as you go towards Las Vegas, and about 10-15 miles or so SE of the small town of Baker that lies alongside I-15.

It's been there forever too... When I was a little kid some 35-40 years ago and my family would go to Lake Mead to vacation on weekends and summertime, we would drive on I-15 and I always looked forward to seeing that road sign because it was so unusual.

I've passed it many times and always laugh about the name. I'm not surprised somebody chose it as a movie name.

I've driven down the road a few times.

Do you fear death?

Have you ever noticed that the drainage ditches also have names. The one just before you get to Baker (heading North on I-15) is Mobi Ditch. I always get a chuckle out of that one.

...when someone comes out and says a movie sucks without justifying their rationale as to why it sucked, always a tell-tale sign that the person never saw the film.

I have driven by this road so many times on the way to Vegas. Interesting history to it on Wikipedia. Never knew someone would make a movie about it so now I gotta check it out.
