Anybody remember Zzyzx Mineral Springs?

There was a religious faith-healing shyster that lived in the area for years, squatting on government land. He was finally evicted and convicted back in the 70's. Probably the only value I derived from listening to his comical spiel back in the 60's is that I knew how to pronounce Zzyzx long before I noticed the sign heading into Baker, CA.

Visited ZZyzx today for a video shoot for the Truck and Travel TV series, along with still photos for an upcoming article. Since the filming (2006) the road is paved almost all of the way (maybe half-a-mile is gravel). Located where the pricipal filming was done (motohome, car, etc). Zzyzx is worth the stop, a really fascinating place with an interesting history.
