To nadiya-evanz re:Titanic or Veer-Zaara post

FYI:
History lesson: Titanic isn't a wonderful sweeping love story, truth is the British bulit that boat and were quoted stating "This boat is so Great even GOD couldn't sink it". (shown in British version of Titanic).

Also all these extrmely rich people chose to take this cruise of a virgin ship to flaunt their wealth right in the middle of America's terrible Drpression. The cost of one ticket to be on that ship now would cost an estimated $75,000. No lie, this is stated as trivia in some movie theatres.

The consensus at the time of the sinking here in America was "Good Riddance" which ran in newspapers at the time. Due to the fact that so many people were starving to death.

These are facts which are the reason why Hollywood didn't do a totally phony movie like these decades before. And the main people that buy this Kate Winslet version are in their 30's or younger.

I know this because my parents are British. They were alive at the time of the real Titanic.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that movie belongs in the category with Walt Disney version of Pocchantas, which is totally phony balony.

Um...I know this is a few years after this post was made, but I am irked and wished to clarify something to others who may read the above statement.

Correcting your little "US History Lesson", those extremely wealthy people who who wanted to "flaunt" their wealth? Yeah, it wasn't right in the middle of the Great Depression, buddy. Titanic sank in 1912. The Great Depression didn't start until 1929. So, next time you want to give someone a history lesson, maybe you should brush up on yours.

Also, I have never heard of any "concensus" that the general populace was thinking "good riddance" at the time.

It's obvious you were trolling this board at the time, since there is no possible way your parents would have been alive at the time Titanic sank, due to the fact that your ignorance and the way you post clearly show you are in no way an elderly person, which you would have to be if your parents had actually been alive then. My GREAT-Grandmother wasn't even born then and I'm in my 30's.
