This or Experimenter (2015)?

Both films were released last year and revolved around real human psychology experiments that took place in the seventies. If you have seen both, which film did you prefer?

While I thought that they rounded up some talented youths for this film, I personally found that the film as a whole was just okay. I really think it would have benefitted from some editing, as some scenes went on for far longer than completely necessary, even when taking into consideration the point they were trying to drive home. It often came off as a bit too melodramatic instead of uncomfortable or shocking.

With The Experimenter, I found that the directing was much more unique for many scenes. They captured the feel of the era much better, and the setting seemed much more intimate. It makes the audience feel like they're engaged and an actual participant when watching, and it certainly elicits some feelings of disgust towards humanity. On the whole, this was the better film for me.
