I absolutely agree,it is a shame that this stupendous film and Lewis's astonishing performance did not receive the attention deserved. The movie will open in the UK in September, perhaps it will get more notice there and Damian Lewis will be nominated for a BAFTA Award next year?

I've not seen anything nearly as real was what Lewis achieved here. He managed to make a "plotless" film so engaging by holding your attention effortlessly. Was nuanced layered and extremely moving.

I agree. Damian Lewis is an extremely accomplished actor, adept at both comedy and drama-action roles.

I agree completely. I purchased this film a while back and was astounded by the performance. As an amateur actor, I was amazed by the intensity of his performance and how much depth of emotion he managed to bring to the surface of the character. It really changed my perception on acting and this the style of performance I hope to one day achieve (although highly unlikely). It is utterly truthful and awe inspiring, you will struggle to see a performance like it for quite sometime.

I really can't imagine someone like George Clooney or Tom Cruise giving a fantastic performance like lewis did in this movie.
