Unbelievably bad, 1/10

With this stupid “10 lines minimum” I’ll just leave a comment here.

This is a one man show at its worst. Low-budget screams all over it. Acting is okay, but truly – there’s not much to play. An idiot wanders around in search of his (presumably) lost daughter. He’s obnoxious, rude and desperate. He’s obviously having a problem, but it’s definitely not a missing daughter. I couldn’t make myself watch this crap at normal speed. After some 30 minutes I started to 2x then 4x then 8x till the very end.

There’s nothing in it. Time wasted. Avoid even on dvd.

You missed the entire point of the film, which was meant to generate compassion for the mentally ill. Such words as "idiot" clearly shows this film was beyond your comprehension. Not all films are meant to entertain, sometimes they are simply meant to be a portal into another's life.

i believe it's inexcusable for any person to comment so vehemently on a film that they've never actually seen

i agree..completely avoid it!

however, if you're an insomniac and can't sleep....i highly recommend this movie to help you doze off......works better than prescription sleeping pills!

It was a complete waste of time. This film shows why the mentally ill ought to be locked up and the key be thrown away. If I want to see a crazy f###, I can go to the homeless shelter. I am sure I can find one or two.

Man, you need a deep thought in this movie, then you can see how good it is...

reply

I can understand why people think the actor did a good job as a crazy f###. But guess what? That's not the kind of movie I'd want to watch. If someone told me this is all the movie is about, I wouldn't have watched it.

The film did ask a lot of its audience, but it delivered plenty in return -
I thought this was one of the greatest films of last year.

You should probably do the opposite. The beginning is very painful and then the film goes nowhere for a while. Though, as soon as the woman and her daughter enter the story it all becomes interesting, warm and finally suspenseful.

Recently watched films:
Keane (2004) (7/10)
Elevator to the Gallows (1958) (8/10) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051378/
The Constant Gardener (2005) (8/10) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387131/

you were right, I also didn't like the beginning of the movie; but like you said, when "the woman and her daughter enter the story it all becomes interesting..."
