Disappointment...

Discovered that the movie existed, Read the critics, Got hyped up into watching the movie, Ordered it on Amazon, Waited two weeks to get it, Invited a friend over to watch it with me, Hyped him up too (told him we were about to watch the 'sickest most twisted' masterpiece), ended up Disapointed... Both of us. (And were both fans of movies like Ichi the Killer and I saw the devil.)
First off, Dumplings; A woman walks in an apartment, Eats dumplings made of baby meat. Walks out the apartment, live what
seems like a normal life, goes back into apartment eat baby meat dumplings again. Walks out apartment again, have dinner with friends, sex with husband, goes back to apartment, for the third time in 30 mins of the short film...To eat dumplings.
Now, in my opinion, once you get past the
fact that they cook babies (and the 1 second image of the baby on the plate) this short doesn't offer anything shocking. Ok, you see a live abortion but nothing graphic. (My super intelligent friend thought she was stabbing her side!?!) Anyways, the rhythm is non-existent and the Worst part of the movie was when she spit water in the mouth of her husband...
Dumplings: 4/10
The second short is Cut and it looks more like a play then a movie. Mostly dialogs and Finger cutting, but again nothing graphic exept for the bite. The ending brings up a lot of questions which leads to discussion but apart from that the movie didn't bring much. One of the finest play i saw, but for a short film I give it 6/10. Finally, Box. The best of all three in my opinion. Nice cinematography, the story was okay, the acting pretty good, it was the closest thing to a good movie that was on the DVD. I give Box 7/10 because It was not one of those 'stick witcha' kind of movie. Good but forgettable. And again just to name a few movies that I call' twisted' of course There's the Saw trilogy, Visitor Q, The man behind the sun, Oldboy... So yeah ,compared to those movies, there was No gore, no hard-core, no ''sickest' nothing.
I give an overall of 6/10
to Three Extremes. :(

Psychological horror. You don't need gore of snarky one liners for something truly disturbing. Watch Tokyo Gore Police for gore. Sucks you didn't enjoy it. Maybe go back to the Tarantino films.
