Poor Man's Flushed Away and Ratatouille

There are better rat movies out there than this. I also hate the way the English are always shown as really posh and upper class or the ultimate scum bags with a cockney accent!

I dont know anything about different English accents, but this movie is not bad at all. Ratatoille could be better as far as rat/mouse movies go, but definately not flushed away. Flushed away just isnt cute.

Yes, I think it suffered from being seen as just another rat movie, capitalizing on the success of Ratatouille. The same thing happened with Bug's Life vs. Antz.

Es todo bueno!

Agreed. If you ignore other rat/mouse movies, this was a classic! It's based on a book so it isn't even simply a quick ripoff scheme. Flushed Away was terrible. My only complaint with this movie is I think some of the sequences may have been a little too frightening for young children and should maybe have warranted a PG instead of G rating. As an adult, it's hard for me to gauge what is terrifying for a little kid, but I think I would have freaked out from a couple of scenes when I was maybe 4 or 5.

Hmm, frightening? I watched it with a child but I didn't get a frightening vibe. But I do think some G and PG cartoons meant for children do throw in frightening elements.

I do know that it was based on a book, but this movie didn't convince me to read it. By contrast, The Incredible Mr. Fox, which was also based on a book, did a much better job of being entertaining and I did a pretty good job of staying true to the book.

Flushed Away wasn't bad, but it wasn't good.

Es todo bueno!
