compared to Y Tu Mama Tambien?

Y Tu Mama Tambien is one of my favorite movies, and I've been trying to find other movies that are like it. My search brought me to Sommersturm, but I'm straight so I couldn't relate to Tobi like I related to Tenoch and Julio. Does anybody else feel the same way? How do you think Sommerstrum compares to Y Tu Mama Tambien?

My view is that they're completely different styles of movies.

Y Tu Mamá También also had class and political elements that did not have counterparts in Sommersturm.
