Lacks a plot. It's like watching Grand Old Opry.

I didn't mind the music and the jokes. I think the acting and performances were pretty good (even Lohan's)! I just kept looking for some sort of storyline or plot...and I couldn't figure it out. Did I just miss it?

The show we see them doing is supposed to be the very last episode of this show...right? That's the closest thing to a storyline that I could get; they just didn't do a good job of turning it into an actual story.

I like country music, so I didn't mind the music at all. I usually have a problem with hearing poeple change the lyrics to classic song, but this was actually one of the first times that I didn't mind it! It was pretty amusing.

If you're looking for a story to follow, this is not the movie for you. But if you're the type who like to watch the Grand Old Opry...you might like it.

That would indicate that you don't know the radio show. It's a movie about a very distinctive radio show with its distinct type of humour about Norwegian bachelor farmers (among many others) and many different types of live music.

If you don't already know how the show works, you won't get the plot. That's not a failing of the makers. If I hadn't read the Harry Potter books, I wouldn't have been able to follow those movies. So many bits don't make sense if you don't know what happened in the 50 pages between some of the scenes.

it lacks much more than a plot.

This is about as far from an action film as you can get with people still moving. But to be fair, it is about a very well known and very well recognized radio show and host. Part of the enjoyment is watching the man talk, as well as other well known actors.

But even then there was the story of the angle coming to take someone back with her. I know that wasn't much of a plot, but it is just about all you'll get.

I think it is a great film because of seeing the radio show and the famous person with the voice. Really any storyline would have worked pretty much.
