I really didn't like this.

I found it an interesting topic to make a film about, but just could not bear the whole pretension of the "Dangerous Woman". Her "character", as it was, just pissed me off. The movie's about death, the end, I get it - I'm guessing Altman knew his days were certainly numbered...but for such a down-to-earth show, it's inclusion of an angel walking 'round with her "serious" face was just rather lame, I thought.

I can see what you mean I think. Personally though I thought the Asphodel/Lois character fit rather well amongst the weirdness. As for "Who did she come for?" I've gone back and forth on that one time and again. The film centers around the final broadcast. What if her only real purpose was to fulfill her own "eternal quest" - to discover what the hell was so funny about that penguin joke before her last chance disappeared? (She'd just heard it if you'll remember very shortly before her death and may if I recall correctly have literally died laughing.)

GK tried to explain, but she didn't quite get it. At least that's my own thought on it.

I'm not sure that after nearly 10 years we need a spoiler tag, but I'll leave it there. 
