I absolutely loved this movie,

When this came on the other night and I began watching it I thought to myself, there is no way in hell I am going to like this. Well I was wrong. It was simply a beautiful, easy-going, genuine....simple little movie.

I am a 23 year old from New Jersey and I definatly am NOT the demographic they were aiming for. But this movie was just so well done on every aspect.

All of you that dont like it...shove it!!!! Im just kidding haha. But really, what a great movie.

Flipped onto the station halfway thru' when it popped up on cable & was hooked. It's such a warm, friendly movie to just turn on and enjoy. The personalities of these charactors shine thru' in every frame. It's something to enjoy again and again. I think it's one of Altmans' very best.

I, agree. This is quite possibly my favorite movie, EVER. I've seen it no less than ten times. It's quirky but that's part of it's charm. I wouldn't reccomend it to the 18-25, male demographic because it has no car chases or gun play that seem to sell films. The cast is amazing. Plus, it introduced me to the wonderful singer, Jearlyn Steele. What a talent!

Watching it on BBC as well huh? ;) So did I, and I was swept away by this fabulous piece of cinema. It was on my still-to-watch list, and rightfully so. Wonderful, wonderful. And then to think that I am a 25 year-old male.

Hello there, this is \Holland, EU, we have BBC here as well and it s been giving me access to countless classics on TV, from the great eras, ever since I started VCR-ing . All your Bogarts, John Waynes, Hitchcocks, film noir's, etc etc. ,
as we over here don't have any " classic s film channel" like TCM.

Sooo, I absolutely LOVED this Altman film, what can I say more. Yes I am a "lover" of good ole' C&W music, yes I know the old time radio, we had it here too, and now it is dead. But what a great cast, such nostalgia...

(One small remark: what did my special subject of laughs, L Lohan, whom I only know of the dreadfullest teen movies, do in this one? in Need of some dough?? )

O by the way, I am 59, and could be your granddad, but who cares, yesterday I admired the Wrestler, and tomorrow Gran Torino, or Gomorra, it s just gotta be good! That"s what counts.

It was a little masterpiece with a whole bunch of great actors. And it seemed they were having a great time making it as well ... some of them were hilarious and sang so well.

I haven't seen it in years, but I feel like tracking it down and watching it again after reading these comments. It really was a good movie, with a "mood" that's not very common.

This movie got me into listening to the radio show, which I love. Now the show is ending, and the movie seems even more important.
