How big of a part does Amanda Seyfried play?

Most all of the characters are trapped (imprisoned) in some way, and Seyfried's role/performance really plays to this theme: feeling trapped (perhaps willingly) in a home situation where she feels needed, as a go-between, when in fact she should be living her own life and going off to school. Good role, more meaningful upon subsequent viewings.

theres 9 stories and shes basically the main character for one of them. in my opinion, i thought she didn't perform up to par and that they could have found a much better actress than her. overall, the movie was good but it was flawed.
