Do you you need closure?

I thought it was interesting that the director didn't film the endings of any of these vingettes. At first, I thought that we didn't need to see the aftermath or have any closure because it's more interesting and thought provoking for you to imagine how something will end. Collectively, I'm sure what we imagine is probably right so we don't need to see the ending. However, as some of these characters were interwoven into other segments, I'm wondering what the director meant by that. Why are all of these situations so utterly horrible? Is the director saying that these situations are what make the woman--not necessarily something that changes her life but a glimpse into why she acts the way she does? Also, why were some main characters in other storylines and others weren't. (I really wanted more Sonia and Martin and so sometimes it was dissapointing in that respect). I wish more people have seen this but I'm glad I happened upon this little gem.

Yes I do need closure... These nine lives and situations are much too dramatic and exciting that I have already invested myself in each one of them... to not know what is going to happen and what the writer was trying to say through them (some of them) being woven together, all I honestly can say is that I hope there is a sequel.

If these were novels I still wouldn't accept the ending at where it was so let's hope there is more of these to follow!

thank you,

I agree with you 100% that a follow-up sequel would be fantastic! Some of the stories (like Robin Wrights, Holly Hunters' and Amanda Seyfriends') need to be more developed. But, I doubt another film would be made just to show the conclusion of these vingettes but I think a TV show on these three characters and their male counterparts would be a good chance to flesh out some of these plots.

How is there not closure to Robin Wright's storyline? This is the segment I remember the best, so maybe others have more traditional closure, but hers is pretty clear. She tries not to fall back into her old feelings for him, pushes him away, realizes she's wrong, goes after him, but it's too late. She missed him and the moment is gone.

In my interpretation was that he left because he realized how uncontrollably attracted they still were to each other. And she was pregnant. So he kissed her belly to make the point, and did the only decent thing that was left for him to do: Leave.

The first time he had made a mistake when he left (the country? They area?) he destroyed something great. This time he left, and protected something great.

Yes! I would love to have known why Holly was so angry at her father.
