Wish more people in India had seen it

This movie is really the first movie from India which treats homosexuality the way it should be treated. A sound relationship where both the partners care about each other, love each other and are not some sort of freaks. I sincerely wish the film-makers make more movies like these so that people (including my own parents) in India start treating gays with more respect.

I second that thought too!
Although I do believe that a lot of people did end up seeing it, and it did receive a lot of critical acclaim when it was released, I'm not exactly sure how well it has aged (almost seems wiped out of public memory as opposed to other popular Bollywood movies such as that part inspirational, part fairy-tale "masala" movie- 3 idiots which still garners a lot of discussions and which I just mention here only for the purpose of giving an example).
Bottomline: This movie still remains a milestone achievement for cinema dealing with taboo subject matters(AIDS, homosexuality). Oh, and the score and songs were especially very good.
