I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't like this movie that much!

I have come to the conclusion that it is hard for me to say a movie is bad. A movie with such a decent cast, including our favorite character from American Pie, and this movie was just rubbish! I was trying to like it because I know the hard work that goes into making a movie and such, but I have to lighten up a bit!

The review(s) of this movie on IMDB are exactly as stated; the funny parts are all in the trailer and the rest is just a filler.

BTW, just out of curiosity, wouldn't a gym teacher be a pedophile if he made a child take his clothes off the way he did in the beginning? I found it really disturbing and NOT funny...

I just stared in disbelief and wondered, who would turn down a chance to be seen on Oprah? My last novel is prolly sitting in the bottom of Oprah's wastebasket. Would I turn down a first-class flight to Chicago if she had read it?

NO!

I thought this movie sucked- and I remember when it first came out I really wanted to see it badly.

Mostly it was sad and cruel- the right tone to make physical humor funny was never found in the film (the 3 Stooges managed to make a "take down" funny) but this movie just never found the right tone.

I think part of the problem was Seann was too serious- this seemed almost a dramatic role for him and Billy Bob had no real redeeming qualities as a character. I also think that Lee Ermey would've been funnier in this role- he loves comedy & knows how to chew a scene.

All in all, I was really disappointed. Mr. Woodcock seemed cruel and the adult Farley just seemed bent on making an ass of himself instead of resolving his issues and making his mom happy.

2/10 stars.

I also didn't like this movie, it never got really funny, I had high expectations but it was actually boring after a while.
Also the basketball-throw flashbacks got boring

just a waist of good actors and money

It's not an offensive movie. It's just bad.

I thought the movie was average at best...a 5/10. Pretty forgettable IMO.
