Distortion of historical facts

Several weeks after watching 0605 I realized that it distorts some of the historical facts. The debate between Marcel van Dam and Pim Fortuyn is included in the film as a news shot. However, in reality this debate took place in 1997, so five years before Fortuyns start as a politician. In this way the film suggests, that the debate contributed to the campaign against Fortuyn, which is actually not true. Apparently sometimes van Gogh is a bit manipulative.
