mustang?

reply

That would be a 1998-2002 Chevy Camaro

reply

hehehe.

From http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419946/goofs...

Factual errors: The police car is a 1998 - 2002 model Camaro SS. These cars have fiberglass hoods. Yet when the hood is blown off the car and hits the pavement, it makes a distinct metallic twang.

reply

Its a 98 chevy camaro. I know this for a fact i got one like it.

reply

Am I the only one that thinks using a two door Camero as police car is total absurded? What do you with a perp if you have no backseat. At least the Chargers have four doors.

reply

ummm,

Police Camaros are very commmon. Especially in California. They're used by the CHP particularly for handling commercial trucking violations. If a suspect needs to be put into a cruiser, they can call for back up.

I see CHP Camaros about once a week.

reply

The Camaro is used as a high-speed "interceptor" or "response car." Your typical four-door police Charger, Caprice, or Crown Victoria is a "patrol car."

Besides, there's a notice on the back of the SS Camaro in the film indicating that it's a drug seizure vehicle.

Many departments will take exotic or sports cars seized from drug dealers and turn them into cop cars as a public relations vehicle.

I've seen Corvette cop cars, and there's even a Dodge Viper cop car:

you didn't know that was a Camaro? Seriously? Who DOESN'T know that's a Camaro?

reply

Fun fact: in Italy they have Lamborghini cop cars.

reply

The German Polizei have a Brabus Rocket.

reply

"The German Polizei have a Brabus Rocket."

No, the Brabus Rocket with Police Decals is only a fun car.
But the German Police Porsches are real.

reply

Well, so to speak, yes they have one or two. They were donated by Lamborghini themselves and mainly used for Public Relations.

Don't expect to go to Italy and find one chasing down someone. I've spent a lot of time there and never seen one except for the pr photos.

The one that I know of that was donated was a Lamborghini Gallardo. There was a Countach in the past too.

And in Germany they have Porsches:
