Why S.C.?

Well, Why?

reply

They may have said South Carolina, but definately was NOT South Carolina scenery, or Highway Patrol.

Never have seen a road in S.C. next to the ocean and mountians on other side.

Our Highway Patrol marked cars are NOT black and whites. Highway Patrol marked cars are silver with twin blue stripes.

Also, the Highway Patrol uniforms are not khaki and brown...more of a medium grey.

Also noticed, the plates on the cars did look correct, but Patrol uses a different plate, not a civillian one. And the sidearm is not a .357 any more.

But, I guess to answer the original question, there is a major marine base down on lower part of S.C. called Paris Island....

reply

Oh, thanks I was just wondering.

Parris Island is a training base for the 13-week basic training and I'm pretty certain that there are no recon Marines trained or stationed there. I could be wrong though, I've just never heard of that. Works for the movie though, I guess.

I think *beep* just happens, but that's just me.

It is not SC like the say They need to come to sc befor making a movie about SC. The colors of the South Carolina Highway Patrol cars are metallic silver with blue stripes. Uniforms presently worn by the Patrol are grey with navy trim and the shoulder insignia has silver letters on the navy background. The South Carolina Highway Patrol adopted the Glock Model 22 .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, which is being carried by all Highway Patrol personnel. A .38 special Smith & Wesson back-up revolver is also issued to Troopers.
