This Guys Like The Terminator...

That was a very clever line, especially as Robert Patrick (T1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day), looks at the wing mirror, giving that T1000 stare, lol...

reply

no, that was a very clever line BECAUSE Robert Patrick was the terminator.

How many films/tv shows has Robert Patrick been in where they've referenced the Terminator?

"How many films/tv shows has Robert Patrick been in where they've referenced the Terminator?"

There's 2 I can think of right now. Last Action Hero and Wayne's world.

Mirror...MIRROR!

reply

Why would Robert Patrick star in something like this? Talk about losing respect for somebody.

reply

I don't think I can lose the respect for good ol' Robert. He's the most underrated actor ever.

reply

True that. He was awesome in Star Gate: Atlantis, also.

"Any last words, punk?"
"Yeah, your wife is good in bed."
"So, you're a liar, too?"

reply

well you gotta realize, no matter the end result of a movie.....i'm sure its always fun to make them. so i'm sure one of the reasons Robert did this is because he thought it be a blast. And when's the last time he played a villain since T2? i think this might be the first time....so i'm sure that helped.

because despite how bad the movie was, i get the sense he really enjoyed himself. and of course movie paychecks dont hurt i'm sure..lol

reply

Yea, he has 126 movie/tv series to his credit

On another post in here, someone said this movie (2006) was the end of his career, he has had 44 movie/tv series to his credit (2007 or later). Not bad for his career being ended

reply

Leave...the...Terminator...alone...and back away...slowly.

reply

that was one of the funniest scenes in the movie...though sadly,i cannot recollect any other funny scenes!!!

IMO,the movie was total trash and i was laughing away at the futile effort of the team to give us a an action movie....1/10

Dude, it was worth at least 5 stars, if for nothing else than:

John Cena did a better job of acting than you're willing to admit
Kate was really pretty
Cena isn't pretty but he does have a nice profile
Robert Patrick's suits were fantastic
Mr and Mrs Marine did NOT have a troubled marriage!
the evil chick got what she deserved
nice boats at the marina
all the villains got deadded
they heaped a few more villains on and they got deadded too
Camaro's V8 growl
alligators
helicopters
Lincoln Kennedy
evening news broadcasting John's secret
nice variety of armaments
"More Human than Human"
no one, not ever, not even once, looked back at the explosion(s) behind them
the prop diamonds were very sparkly
closing credits music was nice, after the rappers shut up
and best of all,
Manu Bennett

Maybe we should give it 6 stars!

"Oooo, lookee, a Sneerfest I can jump in on!!!"

reply

The other connection is that John Cena's first wrestling character was the "Prototype" a rip off of the original Terminator.

reply

Yeah, that clever inside joke was just about the only really clever thing about this movie.

reply

Oooooh cuz he starred in 'Terminator 2' oooh NOW I GET IT HAHA. Truly hysterical.

reply

Yeah that was funny for me because I wasn't expecting it, and I have a funny bone for references to other movies, especially spoofs. As for this movie, I think that joke was the only one that got me. The rest was pretty forgetable and even painful at times.

reply

The only clever line in the whole movie.

Its that man again!!
