He saves three marines and they dishonorably discharge him?
Yes, I know he committed insubordination by disobeying a direct order, but what about saving three men? Wouldn't it be a public relations disaster to discharge a marine who saved three fellow Marines and killed a bunch of Al Qaeda terrorists? Couldn't they give him a reprimand, reduce his rank, cut his pay, put him in the stockade and/or put a written reprimand in his record?
Further, why did the Marine just say "No time"? Why didn't he simply inform his superiors that the men were about to be executed and the air support wouldn't get there in time? Are his superiors really going to stand by and let three marines get killed when they have a guy on site and ready for action?
