answer this question honestly
whats more important to you, making profit from the film you have wrote/made
or people actually watching and enjoying your film?

hi, i am the director of that film. let me answer you honestly. i am a passionate guy, i love my work, i make enough money to live decently and i dont make film for the cash... if i want to make money i will sell underware. i just love my job and i think i am very lucky. so when i know that i can light up a small spark of an individual, this is when i enjoy my job...
PG
hey hey
Im an aspiring director and from Canada...And I just wanted to let you know what a great job you did on this film. We need more directors like you in the world to get rid of all the crap we see on tv/film now our days
So 2 thumbs up and keep doing what your doing and stay true to the canadian film industry (we rock ;) )

I'm an aspiring director and writer myself and I generally try to spell and capitalize things properly.
2 movies made, a million to go.
OMG MATISSE!!! is this you or you re dad wow I didn't know you went on imdb pretty cool but I think its you matisse prtending to be your dad see you at school
shareI'm the writer of this movie. Honestly, I'd rather have people actually see and enjoy the stuff I write. I've had several screenplays optioned and developed, for which I've been paid decently (and there are people in Hollywood who make a very good living writing screenplays that never get made) - but I'd much rather write a movie, get paid a modest amount and see it get produced and get an audience than to sell a script for $250,000.00 and have it die in a drawer somewhere. Honest!
One of the happiest creative experiences of my career was doing the series "Internet Slutts." I barely broke even, but we had a very devoted fan base and great feedback - it was so cool to sit in a crowded bar on a Friday night at 11.30, watching people watch my show and howl with laughter. There's nothing better.
Here's a question for you - why did you ask?
because I would have never heard about this film had I not got it for free from a friend
shareI just wanna let you guys know how much I appreciate what you did with this movie. Great work. This is proof that Canada can crank out awesome cinema.
I had actually never heard of this movie until about half a year ago when I was browsing through the Movie Network channels and saw it on. I immediately recognized Katherine Isabelle and Kris Lemche from Ginger Snaps (one of my favourite movies) and got sucked in. I couldn't believe it was just a TV movie and that I had never heard of it before.
So, once again, major kudos to you guys.
Let me put the innocents straight about a couple of things, principally that the excuse for human beings in this thread masquerading as the writer and director of The Last Casino are completely 100% bona fide FAKES!
I assure you they are NOT who they claim to be.
how can you say such a thing... you don't know that!
i am the director of the movie, i dont have time to waste on the internet to write lies.
Huh. It's 3 years later and I've moved on - working on a lot of stuff - but I only just saw the last post and I have to respond.
I am the writer. Matiise is the director. Pierre's first language is French (okay - French-Canadian... which is sort of French) hence his somewhat mangled post.
Why anyone would think we're masquerading as the guys who did this movie, posting sincere replies for absolutely no personal gain... ahhh... that's why the internet is so much fun.
Cheers.
And to the person who says we're liars...
Prove it. Go ahead. Prove it. Should be fun!
