Favorite scene

I admit, I was surprised by this film. Didn’t expect to enjoy it nearly as much as I did. Does anyone love the scene where Sarah and Lucy reconcile? A tearful Lucy hugs her mom but needs a “gateway”—something, anything, to bridge the gap—which is her telling her she needs to get some rest. There’s something so touching and true about this moment.

I liked that scene too. Lucy saying that she'd been mad at her for a long time and it just kept building really rang true for me. So much within families gets put off or stowed away and never discussed or resolved. When someone is diagnosed with a possibly fatal disease, the rules change so these scenes become possible. Very interesting film, and not expected!

I was very impressed with Adam Brody. He was in most every scene and he was always believable.

Almost cried at that scene.

And I'm a hard-ass welder.
