So I loved this movie...

But my family absolutely hated it. My sister was home on holiday and she told me to pick out a movie. I chose this one (one of my personal favorites, and thinking she would also enjoy it). Long story short, my sister (the one home on holiday) fell asleep, my other sister went upstairs to play video games, and my OTHER sister went to play with the dog, my dad went to clean the garage (and mind you, he is the biggest procrastinator you will ever meet--he's been telling us he's going to clean the garage for the past 3 months) and my mum kept saying she was going to gag because "that boy skank...he kisses a litte girl, tells her even littler sister he'll marry her, then goes and snogs the mum!" while I sat there completely oblivious.

My question: Is it really that bad of a movie? I thought it was fine!

I just learned about Kristen Stewart recently, and my discovery of her was in the movie of Speak. My sister brought it home for us to watch, and I fell in love with her acting.

But...that's hardly the point. Heh.

So, I rented this movie. I enjoyed it, just like you did. My family didn't watch it with me, because they were off doing their own things, but I don't think it would be a movie they would particularly enjoy. Either way, I don't think it's a bad movie. I just think it's a matter of opinion.

I mean, if someone else hates a movie, it doesn't mean that you'll despise it, too.

Uh. I hope that makes sense.

(:

it was an ok movie. I liked Meg Ryan and Kristin Steward was great.
The only part of it I didn't like was they never confronted the father about the affair he was having. I am glad I saw it. I wish they had some extras. That would have been nice.

I liked the film.

I enjoyed the fact that the guy made a difference with pretty much all his interactions with Kristen and her family and with his grandmother.

Of course, I try to not to be cynical. I used to be cynical when I was younger until I realized I was just cheating myself out of what beauty there is in life by being so. Yeah, life's not perfect. But I'm only getting one ride on the merry-go-round and I don't want to waste it by looking for every bad detail in life.

It was a film, made by people who were hoping to entertain me.
I was willing to be entertained.
I was entertained.
No regrets.
