Soundtrack

Dale Midkiff is a hottie!! Cute Harlequin romancish film. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Who sang the opening number? Is there a soundtrack?

Here's lookin' at you, kid!

reply

The opening song was sung by Clint Black (Lisa Hartman's Husband). He sang a few of the songs in this movie.

Thanks for the feedback. Really enjoyed the music.

I am a Clint Black fan and love seeing him and his lovely wife do duets together. What a great pair! I was happy and rather surprised (shouldn't have been) to hear his voice on the lead-in song. :)

I know the title song is: "Spend My Time". It is a great song and I have it on one of my albums. In the background of the restaurant, he is singing something that is (I think) called "Everything I Need". But the one that played during Sydney's trip to town, I just can't recall or bring up on his site. If you have titles, you might try the CMT.com site and see if you can bring up a download of one of them. Those were the only ones I heard. I love his voice and his looks.

Thanks for the song titles that were in the movie. One song I am particularly interested in is the one when Lisa Hartman Black is driving on the highway in her car and she is on her way to the town where her mom is. Was one of those songs the one that was playing when Lisa was driving her car? thanks,

Yes, the one I can't remember the title to. I will have to watch it again (I say with a grin) and see if I can't catch the words a little better. I know the first one in the intro very well and have it on a tape. He has a good album that that particular one is on.

p.s. Is "believe in the magic of your dreams" a song?

reply

Sat Jun 3 09:00P on Hallmark Channel

This is when Back To You and Me is going to be on again, if you want to tape it, or can find someone to tape it for you. I no longer have satellite (had to give it up to catch up finances this summer) or I would do it for you. I am going to try to watch it again and pick up the songs. The first one is so good.
The statement I use under my name is sort of a motto. I got a pin years and years ago from a friend in England which had a unicorn on it and this statement. Dreams are an important part of my life.
Have a lovely day.

I looked up Clint Black on Amazon. You can listen to bits of the songs on there on the different albums. The song while she is driving is called She's Leavin'. Both that and the first song are on an album called Spend My Time and is available on Amazon for three or four dollars. I ordered a used copy. They are usually very reliable dealers on there.

Thanks for the info on when the movie will be on tv again. I will plan on watching it. I won't be able to tape it because I only have a dvd player hooked up to my tv. I will continue to look on the web to see if I can buy the movie somewhere. Thanks,

I tried everywhere I could think of. The only place I didn't was Hallmark and since it is a Hallmark movie, you might be able to get it from them.

I have looked at all of the Hallmark movies and they do not have this movie as of yet. oh well, I guess we all have to wait until it comes out on vhs or dvd.
I really love this movie though.

This is why I was glad to be able to tape it when it came on. Hallmark has been showing it every so often. Seems like they have to be over a couple years old before they bring it out for sale. I've watched it many times and love the interaction between the main characters, just like I did in Love Comes Softly....even to the same ending conversation.

I loved the movie "Love Comes Softly". I cried and could not wait for Dale Midkiff to ask Katherine Heigl to stay. I also watched the sequel to that movie "Love's Enduring Promise" with the same two characters. They are beautiful, love stories.

That is why I loved the ending of BTYAM. Both of the female characters longed to have the male character ask them to stay. And of course, he did. His eyes are just so expressive. I couldn't believe they had used the same thing in Back To You and Me. So neat. You can't get enough of a good ending. :)

I love most of the Hallmark movies and the stars who act in them. I emailed Hallmark and they emailed me back saying that this movie is not available on dvd right now but it may be on dvd real soon. They told me to keep checking with them.

I also am looking for the name of a Clint Black song from the movie Back To You and Me. When they are out for dinner and its played on the jutebox.

reply

I think that you will find them if you check out the "Spend My Time" album by Clint Black, which came out the same year as the movie.

(Album/Movie currently available on iTunes / DVD available from Vivendi Emtertainment)

- L.A. Montage / Opening Credits - "Spend My Time"
- Sidney's Drive to Bloomfield - "She's Leavin"
- Dinner with Nelson (Pre-Ed Jenkins) - "Everything I Need"

reply

I know you have that title by now, "She's Leaving", but if that ever happens again, just take a major phrase from the song you're hearing and do a search with the line adding "lyrics". I used this: That's what's bothering me - Clint Black song lyrics. And it came up at Metro-Lyrics.
