???What's This???

You've been waiting a while for info, and probably got some from somewhere, but heres what i know.

Its a 3-D animated english language version of the Cervantes classic Don Quixote, being made by Spanish Filmax, recently set up in LA. It will feature the voices of Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) as Don Quixote and Jeff Daniels (Pleasantville) as his faithful sidekick Sancho Panza. The film will cost around $25mil to make, mostly being spent on the CG animation, for an October 2006 release.

Having just been in Madrid i know the story is very dear to spaniards hearts and i'm not sure why they've called it Donkey Xote, which is just as difficult to pronounce as Don Quixote (pronounced Key-o-tee for those that don't know).

After Terry Gilliam's disastrous attempt at making a film of the story maybe this will have more luck, and maybe focus more on Panza's donkey???

My w.a.g. would be, as the film is animated, that the main character is in fact portrayed as a donkey. Whether the other characters would also be donkeys, or a myriad of animals, I would guess there would be the typical animation variety of creatures....

What's this? This is the WORST animated film in 3D ever (or close). It's just a pile of junk. No more than that.
