I can't believe no one is talking about this...

I haven't decided if I loved this film or hated it, but I can't stop thinking about it. It is one of the most original things I have ever seen. The actress in the lead role is amazing! Hopefully some more people will see this on DVD and post their thoughts on here. I would love to hear some discussion about it.

Hey, Bethany, are you serious? You played the girl in "Defenceless"?

What the heck are you doing on an imdb Horror board?... if you really are that kid.

Anyway, great performance. Pretty amazing, actually. I don't imagine you've seen the whole film. Not really suitable for someone your age. Congrats, anyway!

Hi, I am Bethany the girl in the movie and I am really glad you liked it - it is great to get feedback. And no I haven't seen the whole film - I hate watching my bits especially when I die.

Well, I posted a very positive review quite a while back. Personally, I think it's brilliant and totally original horror film. Very brutal, as Embalmer says, but also very beautiful. And because it is so different, I'm not surprised that it has divided people. It's just that I hear constant whining about there being no good movies and no originality any more, then something like "Defenceless" comes along, and some folks don't know how to take it. There have been lots of interviews with director Savage recently and in one he mentioned plans for a sequel. The idea he proposed very, very interesting. Nopt sure if it's shooting or just planned, but I'm up for it. I've seen all his movies except "The Sentmental Assassin". I am a fan of SNAK, too. Don't agree it's cable TV-type stuff, though. It's much too weird for that. A guy snorts his mother's ashes with coke. A guy has sex with a woman he thinks is his mother. A guy listens to his victims' heart beats and gets off on it. A guy makes S & M films in his spare time. A guy watches extreme trash cinema while in bed with hos wife. Hardly cable TV stuff. Nice action, too. I believe one of Savage's next films is about a pre-teen killer of children. "Hell's Ladder" or "Heaven's Ladder". Something like that.

Why don't you just cop to who you are? Seriously, it's embarassing.

Why doesn't who cop to who they are? And what are you saying?

I actually saw this movie on some randomness and i must say it was pretty terrible. Don't see the point. It looked like something I would have made in middle school with my friends after watching one of the horror movies described on the back (which is basically what I think happened, except it's by grown people who should have known better). I actually ended up fast forwarding through most of it. I know it's low budget, but this was laughable... I don't feel like I should have seen it, it looked like a home movie that some unimaginative horror fans made after an all night bender of Last House on the Left and Cannibal Holocaust, that one of their friends released on YouTube to embarrass them. In fact, maybe it could live on a second life as a joke if you released parts of it on the internet so people could embed it in message boards and myspace for a laugh. Just because a movie's got castration and rape doesn't make it "shocking", in fact in this case it just made it look pathetic, and showed the weird sh*t the director wacks off to at night. My favorite part was the pan down on the condo brochure... when you have to do amatuerish exposition like this, maybe not having dialogue isn't that great of an idea. Don't quit your day jobs.

I couldn't agree more. Did you notice how cheesy this thread is, though? All of the people raving about it are clearly people involved in making the movie...

It's Halloween. We're all entitled to one good scare.

Haha I know that's the funny part. My ex-girlfriend worked at an independent video store and they sent her all types of random stuff in DVD screeners, and I threw this one in... It was so bad I had to check it out on here... Yeah the filmakers hyping their own movie is great... And nooooo one else.. It's cool though at least you guys tried just don't go gettin a big head.

I really enjoyed it, picked it up at a local foreign movie store and was very surprised at how good the movie was. Yes its got alot of violence in it, but its got great acting, awesome cinematography and is one of the more original movies ive ever seen.
