There's only one thing I can think of that would've made it better

And that would be that I wish that the fear tactics Richard was using to freak the guys out before he started offing them lasted longer. The movie had this brilliant thing going, with this Richard character who freaking scared ME he was so convincing, but it seemed short-lived.

Brilliant movie still, though. I freaking love British cinema. I mean everything, from Hot Fuzz, to Dog Soldiers, to Lock Stock, to In Bruges, man the Brits produce some good stuff.

I agree, after the first couple of attacks, he got them all in one go.. I would have preferred they went into a bit more detail about that and had changed the ending (I wanted him to set the last man up for the murders rather than either of them dying). Think it would have been pretty much perfect if they'd made those couple of changes.

He did - handed him the knife he killed one of them with, then got the last one to stab him.

Yeah I think it was all a bit underwhelming and anticlimactic. Especially seeing the main villain just get a single gunshot. It was far more menacing when he questioned the dealer and promised to let him live and then stabbed him. He should have done that as well as doing something similar to the main baddy.

I agree it would've been more satisfying to see a real confrontation between Sonny and Richard.

However, it's far more realistic this way. A true killer would know not to "play with his food." Toying with someone not trained is risky in that their emotions could make them do unpredictable things, perhaps turning the tables. E.g. that cocked crossbow pistol could go off by accident.

So to me, it's consistent with Richard's training to get the jump on a target, then strike whilst they are at a disadvantage, e.g. the guy on the toilet, scared, retreating "Tuff" and of course the drugged guys..
