Sonny's Death Too Good for Him?

Off his face on drugs and shot in the head without any sense of what was happening to him. As the ringleader and instigator of Anthony's abuse and death, and in keeping with the film's revenge theme, should Sonny have suffered more?

reply

I think that was the point- Anthony died on a drug trip, too.

reply

I agree, he got off too lightly.

reply

Yeah, getting a bullet in the head is a soft punishment, right. What kind of sickos are you?

reply

He was the sicko. He deserved punishment not a quick and painless end.

reply

Obviously never been spiked with all that amphetamine and exactcy and god knows what else he had put in there

It would have been pure hell

reply

The bag over the head was to stop the blood splatter.

reply

I felt that way at the time. I was hoping for a big confrontation just between Sonny and Richard.

However, this way contained poetic justice. Sonny'd fed drugs to kids w/o touching 'em himself. He'd sent his punks off to do his dirty work (one infers), all except for the poor retarded Anthony... and slapping that one girl around.

Everyone stayed true to character & was dealt as they deserved.

Definitely thought provoking.

reply

Yes definitely should of waited for them to start sobering up before killing them as they was too far out of it to be gripped my real fear.
