Release Date?
Does anyone know when this film is coming out? If it's already been released then I haven't heard anything about it!

Nearly every movie preview site just says TBA in 2005. One exception I did find was a Damian Lewis site that said November 2005.

The article at the url below says that there are plans to release the film in November 2005 but as far as we know, the producers have not yet finalized distribution agreements (except in France - Quinta Distribution) so it may not be released until 2006.

shareAs far as I know...there is no release date as of yet. It was a non-competition movie in Cannes...in fact it was shown on the closing night.

Really? That's exciting for the people in the UK. However, I'm guessing that DVDs released in the UK are not compatible on US DVD players so we'll have to wait even longer. (correct me if I'm wrong here. It'd be nice to know)
shareUK DVDs are Region 2 and US DVDs are Region 1, they are not compatible unless you have specifically purchased a region free (or multi-region) DVD player.

There are a lot of films made in Europe that never get released in the US in any format, including a lot of English language films. That's why I broke down a couple of years ago and bought a multi-format/multi-region DVD player. If you look on Amazon or eBay, you can find a good one fore about $100, or sometimes less. Then head to Amazon's UK (or French) sites or Sendit.com among others.
Unfortunately if you are on a tight budget, you may only be able to afford to see these films at rare museum or festival screenings.
In a recent message to his Yahoo! group fans, Damian Lewis mentioned the May release of Chromophobia in Spain and said that the film should be released in the UK in the fall.
