Absolutely. In one sense it is the corny "underdog overcomes adversity" formula, but it is done really well.

It is sort of a female version of Hoosiers.

It is a feel-good kind of movie. I am a former women's basketball player right around the time when Title IX came into being. So, it was interesting to look at the time before this.

Fun family movie (except the two cuss words).

Yeah! My brothers and I watched it and we thought it was really great! We thought it would be super corny but it was actually good. Plus, since I'm in to old fashioned things I loved all the costumes and everything.
