Ellis Brawley

I cannot belIEVE nobody has asked about this--so, I guess it's just me. BUT, I want to know, since this is based on a true story--did the Ellis Brawley character in real life "get his" so to speak? I'm sure he didn't get "run out of town on a rail" but it would have been great if the legends at the end would have added "the character that Ellis Brawley was based upon chose to sell his share of the Bank and move away since he lost his customers and audience" or you know...something.
