I thought salman gave a good peformance in this film, his acting was really good.

I agree, him and Rani were just amazing. Love their part.

salman was perfect for this role, absolutely perfect!!! When salman was on his bed in hospital the acting he gave their was FAB!!! thumbs up salman for both jaan-e-mann and baabul! He needs more roles that can actualy show his acting capabilities like baabul and jaan-e-mann. He is a very good actor!

While Salman is a decent actor, I don't think the casting people did a very good job in choosing him. No matter how hard he tries, he cannot look like a recent graduate. It was beyond his control, but Bollywood seriously needs to get better at choosing actors that fit the role rather than having big name stars.
