What a horrible movie it was.. so predictable and such a bad script .. infact I would say there was no script ..

I thought movie might become better after interval as before interval it was the worst crap I have ever seen .. but the quality is just not there.

Full credit to Amitabh.. he does his role sincerely and tries to infuse something into this piece of %^&

Some questions

#What the heck was Hema Malini doing packing her bags in the last scenes..
#Did anyone ever learn Golf.. I thought that was the premise how all this torture started..
#Was John Abraham some psycho..what was all that about killing someone who illtreats rani... who talks like that ..

#How did Om Puri learn in a minute about his mistake.. what was that all about..

#Why did Om Puri..Aman verma all dress up so much when they had come to stop the wedding.. They looked better dressed than john abraham ...

Finally I strongly believe these people should give our money back... I paid $10 dollars and this movie just doesnt deserve it ..

Some counter questions..

#Why the heck would Hema Malini leave her husband ... I mean what sense is that.. does she have a place to go ..I mean is she planning to move in with Rani ..? cmon dont give thoughtless excuses...

The whole movie she doesnt know or speak anything and has no decision making power and now at the final stage she just says thats it .. I cant stay with you ..What crazy logic is that

#How did you find out that it was a symbol of love..? did you ask them.. They never signified that ..it was a stupid excuse to move the story forward and they left it midway ..
btw salman already knew how to play golf ...

#No "other" guy talks of killing ..thats a crime and there could have been a police case filed for that ..and also then rani should have figured out that john loves her ..not be like a complete innocent fool .. "not mixing relationsships with friendships " .i.e "dosti mein milavat nahi karti "

#om puri was the worst of all .he changed his dialogue in 5 mins after amitabh speaking.. It was the funiiest thing and the whole audience in the theater was laughing ..last but not the least he didnt even apologise to poor pushpa..

#why should they dress up for breaking someones wedding .. Also I dont think om puri was that rich looking at his clothes throughout the movie.. aman verma was dressed up like a prince..

Let me tell u 1 thing, u said that every1 in the theatre was laughing...i guess u were too busy laughing & din't even here the dialogues properly....

#A guy will talk about crime only if he loves the girl & would want to see her happy...& y should he be arrested for talking about killing...he was only TALKING...not really killing sum1.....

#Maybe u were too busy laughing that u din't even realise that om puri DID apologize.......

#Salman knew how to play golf but he wanted RANI to teach him......no 1 else......

#Rani always considered john her best frend...so ofcourse she wouldn't even THINK that he would love her......

# Om puri & aman & family were quite rich......so of course wherever they'll go....they'll dress well....

#Om puri din't realise his mistake till pushpa said the dialuge.......not after amitabh saying....Pushpa's dialouge was soooo powerful that he realized his mistake....& then came amitabhs dialouge...............

B4 just taking out ur anger on the film......think logically & then ask........

I just watched this movie and I wanted to like it so much. Unfortunately, I believe it is rubbbbbissh.

Hema Malini has lost the ability to act due to plastic surgery. Her face doesn't move and she is unable to emote at all.

Om Puri is a cartoon, and yes his sudden transformation at the end is just the laziness of the writers.

John Abraham looks like a lost puppy throughout.

The whole movie is backwards. A woman can't be happy without a man, so she MUST remarry??? The same theme came up in Hum Tum but it was much better handled there.

Amitabh was fantastic, and so was Rani. They are the only reason to watch this tripe. Rani has proven she is a true actress. I really want her to stop playing similar roles it really doesn't stretch her abilities as an actress. However, she shows again that she is miles ahead of the rest.

the songs were good, but the movie was just horrible, piece of trash..my advice would be not to watch this crappish movie.. watch an english movie instead.. jeez what's wrong with these directors nowaydas

omg.
i wasted 10 dollars
the first half i was like wth was this.. i thought .. rani would make this a good movie..but it was barely tolerable
i would have left.. if only my delusional mother would let me
me and my brother keept looking at my cellphone..for a minute i thought time wsant moving
ok
john abhram (spellingsorrg)was alright but not that good
salman khan was down right terrible
the whole movie before was just there..the only really acting u saw was amitabh..
ok.. rani rocks
her wardrobe wassss nasty
like i know they were going on a whole artsy loook but that was boderlilne grunge that didnt even look good
i could have been more tastefull honestly
im trying to convince my mother that this movie is crap..she doesnt want to think anything bad about salman khan
the kid was cute.. the only real good part
looked like a brown harry potter lol

sum1 predicted that 2006 was gonna be the worst year for movies...and i think they're right! a lot of indian movies are copies of american movies too, and they kill the story...hopefully 2007 will be better for bollywood

This movie was a 2006 version of Kuch Kuch Hota hai gone wrong, But I am sorry and it's strange but I would watch it again just cause. Bollywood films just make me happy and this one did.

That was my problem with the movie--when will we be past the point where an Indian woman must be married to be happy?! I actually also thought of Hum Tum while I was watching Baabul--that handled the issue so subtly and less conformingly. I really really wanted to like this movie too--the issue it was trying to bring to attention is such an important one, yet I felt they simplified things so much! Amitabh and Rani were great and I even thought Salman offered some cute scenes. However, definitely not what I was expecting from it. Rather than spending so much time building up the Rani-Salman relation, maybe they should have focused more on the challenges faced in society by widows in India.

While Amitabh and Rani were great, I don't know how I got through this piece of crap excuse for a movie.

And Hum Tum is leagues better than this. I don't think the directors of Hum Tum were drunk when they were coming with the script. I can't say the same for the directors of Baabul.

very true. the first 2 hours were pretty much the worst indian film i have seen in the last 10 years (i don't watch that many, and this film reminded me why i don't).

But the last 50 mins were quite decent, and rescued the film slightly.
Also, as some people have touched on, the last 50 mins had quite a important point to put across to Indian society. Just a pity that it was done in such a ham-fisted way.
